The governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming Osun State election, Bola Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that he will win the gubernatorial poll scheduled for August 8, 2026.
Speaking during an annual prayer programme hosted by the An-sar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria in Ikire, Oyebamiji emphasized the significance of prayer and unity in achieving success. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the yearly event, highlighting its symbolic nature given the proximity of the election.
“I want to appreciate the Almighty God for allowing us to offer this prayer. This year is particularly symbolic as we approach the gubernatorial election in Osun State.
“I have said this several times: Bola Oyebamiji doesn’t have a competitor. I am going to win that governorship election come 2026. We strongly believe that by the special grace of God, this will be achieved,” Oyebamiji added.
His wife, Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji, stated that Osun State needed a leader who could govern with conscience and sensitivity. She noted a remarkable increase in attendance at this year’s prayer gathering, with over 6,000 residents participating, compared to about 3,000 the previous year.
The Chief Imam of An-sar-ud-deen, Badmus Adekunle, praised Oyebamiji’s candidacy, emphasizing his leadership qualities, loyalty to the APC, and the goodwill he enjoys across the state. He saw the endorsement of Oyebamiji as a testament to his capability and dedication to public service.
